ECOTIC, ECOTIC BAT and Recolamp Association, with the support of the Polytechnic University of Bucharest started a project for raising awareness and collecting electric and electronic equipment waste (WEEE), battery waste and light sources. The action was dedicated to students. All the buildings of the Polytechnic University and 21 student dorms now own collecting recipients for these types of waste.
It was an action meant at make students and teachers alike aware of the fact that WEEE, battery and light sources waste must be collected separately and correctly recycled.
We used posters inside the university and dorms to make the recipients as visible as possible.
We are always searching for fresh, innovative solutions to persuade as many people as possible with a simple message: we need to collect and recycle at all levels, at all ages. Our future depends on it and that is not an exaggeration. We are happy when our partnerships enter new areas – and what better, more effervescent environment for change and action than a university?
