Alucro and ECOTIC BAT developed the environmental education campaign entitled “You recycle, we reward you” in 89 institution from Romania.Over 6 tons of aluminium cans and over 2 tons of waste of batteries were collected. This campaign was developed between February 3 to May 30, under the patronage of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Changes and th
e County Schools Inspectorates. The objective of this campaign was to raise the awareness of the younger generation regarding the importance of proper recycling of waste, especially aluminum cans and waste of portable batteries.
The campaign “You recycle , we reward you” took place in all schools that wanted to enroll from the following cities: Bucharest, Ploiesti , Buzau, Focsani , Bacau, Cluj- Napoca , Timisoara, Iasi , Hunedoara, Brasov , Piatra Neamt and Alba Iulia.
The campaign included eco- education classes held by enrolled teachers based on materials provided by the organizers. The campaign included also a competition for selective collection of aluminum cans and portable batteries and accumulators. The competition was opened for the coordinating teachers, students and schools participating in the campaign.
Top 3 institutions that collected the largest amount of waste of batteries:
- 1st place – Scoala Gimnaziala Ion Creanga, Cluj-Napoca – 274 kg of waste of portable batteries;
- 2nd place – Liceul Teoretic W. Shakespeare, Timisoara – 270,6 kg waste of portable batteries;
- 3rd place – Scoala Gimnaziala A.I.Cuza din Bacau, 168 kg waste of portable batteries.
The winnig schools will receive electric equipment from ECOTIC.
Top 3 institutions that collected the largest amounts of aluminium cans:
- 1st place – Scoala nr. 2 Diaconu Coresi, Brasov – 606,8 kg
- 2nd place – Liceul Teoretic W. Shakespeare, Timisoara – 441 kg
- 3rd place – Scoala Secuieni, Bacau – 436,5 kg.
The winning schools will receive each a printer and a photo collage with pictures from the campaign.
Top 3 students that collected the largest amounts of waste of batteries are Harnut David, Liceului Teoretic W. Shakespeare – Timisoara, Popa Catalina,Scolii Gimnaziale Ion Creanga – Cluj-Napoca, Cune Yanis,Scolii Gimnaziale Petre Ghelmez, Bucuresti. These studemts collected about 300 kg of waste of batteries. Each student will receive from ECOTIC BAT a tablet.
Top 3 students that collected the largest amounts of aluminium cans: Andronescu Alexandru, Scoala Patarlagele- Buzau, with15.836 cans collected, Radu Raul, Scoala nr. 2 Diaconu Coresi – Brasov, with13.608 cans collected and Hurmuz Catalin, Scoala Gh. I. Bratianu – Iasi, with 8.610 cans collected. Each student will receive from Alucro a video camera.

Marghiloman – Buzau, Dumitru Gabriela – Scoala Gimnaziala Nicolae Iorga – Focsani, Dinca Florin Cristian – Colegiul Economic Dionisie Pop Martian – Alba Iulia and Marilena Ana Draia – Liceul Tehnologic Ovidiu Densusianu – Hunedoara.Each teacher will be rewarded with a smarthphone.

Cartianu – Neamt, Stoica Monica, Scoala Andrei Muresanu – Ploiesti, Diana Bota, Liceul Teoretic W. Shakespeare – Timisoara, Dumitru Gabriela, Scoala Nicolae Iorga – Focsani. The winners of this section will receive from Alucro a tablet.
