WEEELABEX Organization was funded in April 2013 by 26 collective schemes that take over the responsibilities of the producers EEE in managing WEEE .
The purpose of this organization is to promote the implementation of WEEELABEX standards in Europe in the treatment process of WEEE, aiming to reduce the pollution from WEEE treatment actions and to increase the recovery level . This w
ill be achieved with compliance of operators who treat WEEE and also with the support of the collective schemes.
On 21.01.2013 was held in Salzburg the first General Assembly of WEEELABEX Organization.
The General Manager – Mario Voros – presented the evolution of the organization in the first months of operation, also mentioning that the audits were already initiated at WEEE operators in Spain. By the end of this year are plenned 175 audits to 94 operators in Europe. The General Assembly voted the activities and the budget for 2014 according to the General Manager proposals .
ECOTIC is present in WEEELABEX auditors group with an expert – Valentin Tofana .
ECOTIC started implementing the standards together with its treatment operators. By the end of the year an audit will be conducted at Greenweee International on 4 treatment streams .
