Starting with 10 th of September, 2012 ECOTIC and Recolamp had launched the national program “Green Day in your organization!”. 
With the support of the Ministry of Environment and Forests and the National Environmental Guard, the campaign targets are public institutions and private companies. Its aim is to create prerequisites necessary for the institutions mentioned for free and efficient disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment, including energy saving lamps and burned fluorescent tubes.
“Green Day in your organization” starts on 10th of September and ends on 15th of November, 2012 and its main objective is to increase separate collection and recycling of WEEE, including energy saving lamps and burned fluorescent tubes.
Any organization / company that collects minimum 20 kg lighting equipment and / or 100 kg of waste electrical equipment - may request until November 15, 2012, by phone 0722.283.383 or by e-mail to collection@ziuaverde.com, free pick-up of these types of waste.
All waste collected will be recycled by the two collective organizations Recolamp and ECOTIC by respecting the environmental legislation.
"Workshops without borders" will take the waste that can be refurbished and donate it to carefully selected social projects.
The company that has the best results will be recognized as the most responsible organizations at ”For a Clean Environment -Awards Gala 2012“ organized by Hotnews (news site), ECOTIC and Recolamp.
“For a clean environment” - Awards Gala ”, it's a platform that aims to promote environmental campaigns, it identifies and awards each year the best projects at the local communities level, designed to improve environmental conditions, but also social responsibility programs developed by companies or public institutions and NGOs.
In addition, there will be given a number of awards, designed to reward the efforts of companies participating in the “Green Day in your organization” project. The winner of the 1st Prize will receive afforestation of areas in the community where it operates, and the other prizes will be 15 bikes (10 bikes for the collection of WEEE collection and 5 bike light sources) awarded by drawing lots.
