Reached the XNUMXth edition, Clean Environment Awards Gala is an annual traditional contest, organized by ECOTIC and dedicated to initiatives to protect the environment and conserve the planet's resources. 98 projects were submitted in this year's edition, most of the contest's history.
Organized since 2009, the contest aims to bring to the general public initiatives as diverse as possible of eco-social responsibility in Romania. A record number of projects have been submitted this year on www.premiilepentrummediucurat.ro, 98 projects coming from all over the country, for all four categories of competition: Companies, Educational Institutions, Public Institutions and NGOs.
,, We are glad to see that environmental and CSR projects are becoming more numerous from year to year. This demonstrates the increase of Romanians' preoccupations for ensuring a clean environment and for saving resources ", declared Valentin Negoita, President of ECOTIC.
The competition was open to projects dedicated to environmental protection, conservation of the planet's resources and prevention of their waste, carried out since October 2015.
ECOTIC congratulates all those who have submitted projects in the competition and who prove a new proactive attitude towards the environment. The winners of the four categories of the 2016 Clean Environment Awards Gala are the following:
I. Grand Prize for Public Institutions: General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Sector 6, Bucharest
Winning project: Socialxchange charity store
II. Grand Prize for NGO: Semper Music Association Tecuci Branch
Winning project: Installation of the first clothing donation containers in Galati County
III. Grand Prize for Educational Institutions: Nucet Secondary School from Dambovita
Winning project: Biodiversity means life!
IV. Grand Prize for Companies: Studioplot
Winning project: Tubatect
The awards were presented during a festive event, which took place on Friday, December 9, 2016, at the Intercontinental Hotel, Bucharest.
