ECOTIC and ECOTIC BAT announce the launch of a new edition of the national program "Ecoterrian School", an initiative that brings together primary and secondary schools across the country in a common effort to protect the environment.
This edition of the Ecoterrian School will take place during the period September 11, 2025 – April 30, 2026 and aims to inspire students to become environmental heroes through many simple gestures, including the separate collection of electrical waste, light bulbs and used batteries.
The program combines theory with direct involvement in environmental protection activities: students and teachers have access to an interactive platform where they discover video lessons, solve homework and participate in creative challenges, while at the same time actively getting involved in collecting electronic waste and used batteries. Thus, the school is transformed into a place where responsibility towards nature is learned through concrete action.
Registrations for the 2025-2026 edition are made during the period September 11 – September 30, 2025, accessing The SE platform (https://scoalaecoterrienilor.ecotic.ro/), where one of the teachers can create an account for his school.
In the previous edition, we launched a platform that centralizes information, activities, and school history to facilitate teachers and students' access to their progress in the program. The feedback received from teachers was extremely valuable, and the 8th edition comes with essential improvements, adapted to their proposals and needs.
What type of educational institutions can apply?
As in previous editions, the program is open exclusively to primary and secondary schools – high schools and kindergartens cannot participate.
Registered schools will benefit from an interactive and transparent edition and will receive a kit of materials, which includes mini-containers for students and sets for the collection at school of waste electrical and electronic equipment, light bulbs and neon lights, and batteries and accumulators.

To better illustrate the spirit and impact of the program, ECOTIC produced a video right inside one of the schools participating in the Ecoterrien School program. The film captures the classroom atmosphere, the way students and teachers engage in activities, and the positive energy this program brings to the community.

"The Ecoterrian School program ran throughout the entire school year, which gave students the opportunity to really get involved and discover, step by step, how important it is to take care of nature and our planet. Their joy in learning new things and their desire to make a real change confirmed to us that such initiatives leave a strong positive mark. We recommend all schools to enroll in the program and give their children the chance to become the generation that protects the future," said Ms. Vlășceanu Ioana, coordinating teacher of the Ecoterrian School at the "Avram Iancu" High School in Cluj-Napoca.
"The national ecological education program Ecoterrienilor School provides students and teachers with practical resources and digital interaction, transforming learning about good environmental practices into a unique experience. We invite teachers to enroll their schools and thus contribute to the formation of a responsible generation aware of the importance of protecting the environment and the efficient use of resources", declares Valentin Negoiță, President of ECOTIC.
