The Republic of Moldova is in the process of joining the European Union, which involves the transposition of European directives, including those on waste.
The transposition started 3 years ago WEEE Directive 2012/19 / EU, mainly with the registration of producers and, more recently, with the establishment of collective schemes, the local name of the transfer of responsibility organizations.
A first collective system was set up in 2018 and in 2019 it obtained the operating license: Mold control.
Since their inception, the leadership Mold control he turned to ECOTIC for help in the first steps of the organization and ECOTIC was very open in this regard. We have provided assistance in legislative clarifications, in form elements, in organizational aspects and we have responded and are responding to any request submitted where ECOTIC expertise brings added value.
In May 2021, with the help of ECOTIC as part of a Twinning program, Mold control became a member of the WEEE Forum. Thus, the team Mold control will be up to date with the latest developments in the field of WEEE and has the opportunity to interact with all members WEEE Forum and will benefit from exchanges of experience.
Joining the WEEE Forum was an important moment for ECOTIC in 2008. We gained a lot of know-how, technical and organizational, we realized that we all have similar problems, but we are in another stage of them. It has helped us a lot in the development of ECOTIC and we are convinced that Mold control will fully benefit from this membership in the most important organization in the field of WEEE worldwide!
We wish them success in developing a functional and successful system in the Republic of Moldova!
