On the occasion of this year's International Day of Electrical Waste, ECOTIC together with UWS Prahova, APM Prahova, ADI Prahova, the National Environmental Guard, the Prahova County Commissariat and the Town Halls of each locality, are organizing campaigns for the collection of electrical waste (including light bulbs and neon signs) the Clean Cities and Clean Municipalities brand in several localities in Prahova County, including the Ploiești Municipality.
Residents of the mentioned localities are encouraged to be actively involved in the protection of the environment by separately collecting electrical and electronic waste and handing it in for recycling.
The slogan for this year's International E-Waste Day is "Participate in the electrical waste hunt! Recover them, recycle them and give them a new life!” and focuses on involving the general public in identifying the electrical equipment they have around the house, which they have not used for years or are broken and end up being forgotten in drawers or in various storage spaces in the hope of future use.
In order to meet the population's need for access to solutions to dispose of these types of waste, ECOTIC, together with local partners, develops these collection campaigns aimed at bringing to the attention of local residents the collection solutions they have at hand.
LOCAL CAMPAIGNS SCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER:
To encourage responsible behavior, the organizers offer an instant prize to those who hand over electrical waste at the collection points announced by the City Hall or by collection from home. Orders for the pick-up of bulky WEEE from home are made at the phone number 0219640.
For deliveries over 10 kg of WEEE, participants will receive an instant prize.
