A new edition of the "Journalism for a Clean Environment" contest – an initiative dedicated to stimulating environmental journalism in Romania – is launched on June 12.
ECOTIC, in collaboration with the Union of Professional Journalists of Romania (UZPR), launches the second edition of the national contest "Journalism for a Clean Environment"". This competition is aimed at media professionals who contribute through their journalistic activity to informing and raising public awareness regarding environmental protection and the efficient use of resources.
By publishing articles, reports and materials dedicated to the environment, journalists become determining factors of change. In a society where information shapes behaviors, the involvement of the press in environmental protection is essential — because a journalist who investigates and explains the effects of climate change or circular economy solutions not only informs, but also provides a personal example of civic responsibility.
