Between May 14-17, 2026, the residents of Brașov are invited to actively participate in the awareness and collection campaign for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), organized under the name "Brașov Recycles"The action is carried out by the ECOTIC Association, in partnership with the Brașov City Hall, the ISO Mediu Intercommunity Development Association and Eco Civica Center.
The main goal of the campaign is to promote environmentally responsible behavior by encouraging the separate collection of electrical and electronic waste. Brașov residents will have at their disposal 16 temporary collection points, located in different areas of the city, where they can hand over old or defective electrical equipment, thus contributing to a cleaner city and the protection of natural resources.
To encourage participation, the organizers have prepared a series of awards for citizensThose who hand in small and medium-sized electronic waste will be automatically enrolled in a raffle with prizes, and those who teach bulky equipment they will receive guaranteed prizes.
Also during the campaign, during May 14-17, Brașov residents are invited to visit ECOTIC Caravan, a mobile museum dedicated to recycling electrical waste. The caravan will be located in the parking lot of Coresi Shopping Resort, offering visitors an interactive and educational experience, designed to highlight the positive impact of recycling e-waste on the environment.

For people who want to teach bulky electrical equipment (such as refrigerators, washing machines, stoves or heating systems) Eco Civica Center offers free home pickup, by telephone appointment at 0742.400.404 (callable daily between 09:00 – 17:00) or by e-mail at comenzi@ecocivicacenter.ro.

The "Brașov Recycles" campaign is part of the national efforts to promote a circular economy and educate the public about the importance of recycling electrical waste. Through this initiative, the organizers aim to transform the act of handing over for recycling into a natural habit for every citizen.
