Between 24 to 26 October 2013, ECOTIC organized in Poiana Brasov, a dissemination seminar having as theme the WEEELABEX standard. The seminar was addressed to ECOTIC partners, in order to facilitate the achievement of quality standards in recycling, logistics and WEEE treatment.
This seminar is part of the project “RRResponsible: Act responsibly, act solidary - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, providing a new opportunity for disadvantaged people” The project is co-funded by a grant from Switzerland through Swiss contributions for enlarged EU.
The seminar was attended by representatives of collection, treatment and recovery operators collaborating with ECOTIC. The presentations were made by Valentin Negoita - President ECOTIC, Dragos Calugaru - General Manager ECOTIC and Valentin Tofana - Auditor for WEEELABEX Standard, Regional Representative of ECOTIC.
The purpose of the seminar was to familiarize the operators with administrative, technical and organizational requirements that WEEELABEX standard recommends.
