ECOTIC and Ateliere fara frontiere developed from 01.07.2013 - 30.06.2014 the project “RRResponsible: Act responsibly, act solidary - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, providing a new opportunity for disadvantaged people” together with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change.THIS PROJECT IS CO-FUNDED BY A GRANT FROM SWITZERLAND THROUGH SWISS CONTRIBUTIONS SWISS FOR ENLARGED EU.

The campaign, “RRResponsible: Act responsibly, act solidary - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, providing a new opportunity for disadvantaged people” took the name of the project mentioned above and carried out in 12 schools in 12 communities in the country until 30.05.2014 . The cities that will be visited are: Alexandria, Cluj, Giurgiu, Buzau, Tulcea, Piatra Neamt, Bacau, Ploiesti, Oradea, Timisoara, Brasov, Bucharest.

In each school is organized a visit where will present over 40 students and 2 teachers, 1 representative of the local authority, one recycling operator, 5 representatives of the NGO sector and one private company. The theme is environmental protection, sustainable development, education and awareness of selective waste collection.

During these visits, students demonstrate their involvement to the guest through the projects undertaken and through the art objects that were created. Subsequently, there will be organized visits to specialized recycling operators for a better understanding of the whole recycling process.
“RRResponsible: Act responsibly, act solidary - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, providing a new opportunity for disadvantaged people” implies also a contest entitled ECOScolarul
In this competition, students will collect waste electrical and electronic equipment and bring them to the schools. Top 3 schools will receive new IT&C equipment.

The project that is developed in schools ends on May 30, 2014.

The first visit took place on 11 October 2013 at School "Mihai Viteazu" in Alexandria. The pupils could observe the process of recycling at the local recycling operator Greentronics.

The second school that was visited was School No.10 in Giurgiu on October 22. The pupils could observe the recycling process at Ateliere Fara Frontiere.

The third school where the project was developed was "Ion Creanga" School from Buzau on November 8, 2013. The recycling operator was Green WEEE.

The last school visited in 2013 was "Ioan Bob" from Cluj Napoca. The recycling operator was Total Waste Recycling.

The first visit in 2014 was made at "Grigore Antipa" school from Tulcea, on February 14th. The recycling operator involved was JT Grup.

The pupils with their teachers were very enthusiastic about our visit, and prepared an artistic moment. The poem recited is here.

The second visit that was developed in 2014 took place on February 21 at "Nicu Enea" school from Bacau. The recycling operator was Ecorec Recycling (Buhusi headquarters).

The 3rd visit took place on March 7th, at School no. 5 from Piatra Neamt. The recycling operator was Ecorec Recycling.

The 8th visit took place at the School no. 9 "Nicolae Orghidan" from Brasov on March 21, 2014, the visited recycling operator was FPSC shop.

On April 24th the School No 18 from Timisoara was the host of our project. The pupils and the teachers prepared nice surprises: fashion parade with recyclable materials ,. FPSC team from Timisoara explained to the pupils what's the correct collection and recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment.

On April 25th, School. No. 11 from Oradea received our visit. After activities, Bene International, the recycler with headquarters at Tileagd, Bihor, received the visit of the pupils.

On May 9th, the School. no. 19 Tudor Arghezi from Bucharest was the host of the project. Rematholding was the recycler that received the visit from the pupils.

On May 16th the last visit in this project was at the School ”Toma Caragiu” from Ploiesti, and the recycler was Green WEEE Buzau.
